| BASIC
PATENT IMAGE
DELIVERY SYSTEM |
| Product No. 60003
- The P9 Basic Patent Image Delivery System
This
is a complete plug
and go patent image delivery system. The complete multipage,
high
resolution images of every granted US patent and every published U.S.
application
(since 1790) are instantly available to all users on your network with
NO artificial limits on access. No per seat fees, no extra software
licenses,
no per user costs, no per image fees, no extra fees of any type.
Just patents, patents and more patents at your fingertips.
This
is a single complete
computer server that plugs into your intranet switch or hub (one power
cord, one network cable) and is ready to deliver patent data to your
users
in the first two minutes of operation. The only thing your users
need
is a recent version browser such as Internet Explorer to begin using
the
system (see Note 3 below for supported browsers).
Enter any US patent number (or numbers) and up comes the first page of
the first patent (in less than a second). Users can pull up patent
images
and view them, flipping through the pages or go directly to any page
number
of any patent. They can request a patent to be printed on the included,
attached, high speed HP laser printer. A special print module
using proprietary software ensures that the printer operates at close
to
its rated laser engine printing speed (have you ever waited and waited
and waited for a PDF image file to print? No waiting around with this
system).
The
on board database tracks
each patent by Patent or Application Number and each issue week is
added
automatically when you insert our weekly subscription DVD, or the USPTO
Weekly subscription DVD (we are fully compatible with the USPTO data).
The
system allows browsing
patents, and paging through patent pages as well as the ability to
print
entire patent documents or a single page, and also allows you to
download
entire patent image files to your desktop computer via your browser (in
TIF or PDF formats).
Browsers
require no
special plug-ins to view the patent image pages in several
selectable
scaled resolutions for various screen sizes (most browsers also scale
images
to fit current windows size and let you zoom for increased
detailed
study). With most office networks running at 100Base/T speeds,
your
network bandwidth will not be a limiting factor. The system
easily
services 75 people actively browsing or printing patent images any time
of the day or night. The system is designed to deliver more than 1200
ready-to-view
image pages (browser ready) to your network every 60 seconds.
That's
more than 20 scaled image pages every second. The entire system
is
also scalable in that you can use two or more of these servers to
increase
output bandwidth. They are designed to work together in a parallel
fashion,
but can also operate in standalone mode as complete backup systems, if
desired.
The
data includes images
issued up to the end of the last full issue year, and annual updates
are
very reasonable for follow-on years. The updates are also very easy
to install each week (see item 38030, above). The loading system
automatically adds them to the correct drives to keep your entire
inventory
in numeric order! The system has room for 4 years of updates at current
US issue/application publishing levels. The system storage disks all
have
3 year replacement warranties and if a data drive failure occurs, we
can
deliver a replacement disk to you within 2 business days filled with
replacement
data ready to plug in an use.
Basic
user management and
access control is included (User ID and a PIN needed for access - up to
100 user IDs may be assigned) but it can be disabled so that everyone
on
your network has access to the database with no logon requirements at
all. Direct conversion to PDF files for saving or emailing images it
also
included.
Product 60003 - Basic Patent Image Delivery
System - Price: $39,900.00
Delivered with all data
ready to use * (Just add power and a network)
* Requires 50% down payment to
begin processing order.
Balance due on receipt of system. Allow approximately 5 weeks for
delivery.
System hardware is fully warranted with on-site repairs for 1 year, and
all drives with data for 3 years (shipped overnight, drive replacements
are filled with data in 2 business days if ever needed).
If
this system sounds
too good to be true, give us call and we'll mentally pinch you to
show
you that you ARE in fact, awake, and we'll send you the full
specifications
via email and let you test it across the Internet for yourself. Of
course
you won't get the same speed across the Internet as you would on your
internal
network, but you'll get the idea. Call us at 800-832-2823.
And by the way, a slightly modified Dual P9 Image Delivery System is
how
we serve over 100 law firms and companies with over 500 users across
the
Internet from our own offices 24/7/365. This is a proven technology in
use today, and not some pipe dream someone can try to
build
for you with vague associated costs.

| ADVANCED COMPLETE PATENT IMAGE DELIVERY SYSTEM |
| Product No. 60004
- The P9 Advanced
Patent Image Delivery System
"This is
why your competitor can pump out twice as many searches as
you, each week!"
Similar
to the Basic System
(item 60003, above), this is a complete plug and go
patent
image delivery system. Added to the image data in the basic
system
is the ability to search and page through patents based on US Class and
Subclasses and issue/publication date. The complete multipage, high
resolution
images of every granted US patent and every published U.S. application
(since 1790) are instantly available to all users on your network with
NO artificial limits on access! No per seat fees, no extra software
licenses,
no per user costs, no per image fees, no extra fees of any type.
Just patents, patents and more patents at your fingertips.
This
system contains the
same image data as Item 60003, but the database that tracks the patent
and application numbers also tracks Issue or Publication date
and
the Primary and secondary US Class/Subclass (assigned at issue or
publication
date) and can be updated with new classifications as issued 6 times a
year
by the USPTO (see: US Class Data subscription, above)
You
can browse the inventory
by any selected US Class/subclass or even an issue date. A
"pop-up"
condensed U.S. Classification Manual with Classes and properly
indented
and titled subclasses is available at all times (you
professional
patent searchers know how useful this is!).
The
system allows browsing
patents, and paging through patent pages as well as the ability to
print
entire patent documents or a single page, and also allows you to
download
entire patent image files to your desktop computer via your browser (in
TIF or PDF formats).
The
data includes images
issued up to the end of the last full issue year, and annual updates
are
very reasonable for follow-on years . The updates are also very easy to
install each week (see item 38030, above). The loading system
system
automatically adds them to the correct drives to keep your entire
inventory
in numeric order (nice touch, eh?). The system has room for 2 years of
updates at current US issue/application levels. The system storage
disks
all have 3 year replacement warranties and if a data drive failure
occurs,
we can "overnight" a new disk filled with replacement data ready
to plug in an use within 2 business days.
Basic
user management and
access control is included (User ID and a PIN needed for access - up to
100 user IDs may be assigned) but it can be disabled so that everyone
on
your network has access to the database with no logon requirements at
all. Direct conversion to PDF files for saving or emailing images it
also
included.

Text Search and Image Data Delivery System
This
is everything product
60004 is, plus a complete full text search system. The on board database
includes the full text of every patent from 1976 through the current

multilevel (next search may use previous search results - e.g.,
L2
AND L3 where L2 and L3 are the sets of patents from previous searches.
The patent/application
sections are divided into 20 different user selectable indexes to
search
(e.g., Claims, Title, Current US Class, etc.). Patents are added
weekly, and reclassification data is added (updated) every 60

be shipped to replace the primary unit until it is repaired (yes, we
keep you working. Your time is money, and we understand that!) -

down to the cost of electricity! (requires execution of a mutual
nondisclosure agreement for your protection and ours).
We
also include a server
copy of Huey PC Remote Control (http://www.gidsoftware.com/huey.htm)
so that we can help you solve database problems from our offices using
remote access, if you desire it. We highly recommend Huey PC Remote
Control for access to your servers or even your office
workstations
from remote locations. It's dependable, fast, easy to install and very
affordable! What more can you ask from remote access software?
If your school or university
doesn't have this powerful
patent access capability on its network yet, what are you waiting
for?
You don't really force your students to try to make use of the public
Internet
search system at the USPTO or other slow systems, do you? And
you call yourself an "institution
of higher learning?" This is a "drop in the bucket" to allow
the easy, fast study of over 10 million ideas. Don't be the last
school in your state to give your students what should be REQUIRED in
every
university in the US!

| CUSTOM
DELIVERY SYSTEMS |
| Are
you a small patent
authority in a country where you don't get the respect you deserve (and
it shows in your annual budget - or lack, thereof)?
Let
us build a custom search
and delivery system for your entire inventory (text and images) and
impress
the rest of the IP world with it. Get the respect you deserve from higher
ups by keeping your project on time and within your budget, and
also
earn a little bit of patent envy from your peer agencies. We
can
fully automate storage, maintenance and delivery of an array of
documents
including patents, applications, and all of the associated "paperwork"
involved in your patenting process. We can even handle the complete
automation
of the patent approval/grant processing steps including applications,
billing,
progress monitoring, maintenance, examiner communications...
literally
the entire system. Accessible and controlled from the "inside" by your
examiners and managers, yet easily usable for applications and checking
on progress by your inventors/users. All of this without you having to
pay a king's ransom in annual software royalties (we use proven
development methodologies).

4.
This compression
is the same standard the USPTO uses and can be displayed by a large
number
of graphics programs such as the Kodak Imaging program (Win-98, ME and
2000), the Microsoft Fax Viewer in Windows XP, and the Fax Viewer on
Macintosh
computers.
5.
PDF is the
Portable Document Format by Adobe Corporation. This is a proprietary

images for all of your DVDs (ours or the USPTO DVDs or CDs) using
standard
Windows based tools found on all Windows 2000 and XP based computers.
7.
The image database program for the full patent collections and
subscription
DVDs is for Windows based computers only (2000 and XP). It can be used
to catalog image files on any CD, DVD or hard disk device. You assign a

and
it returns the disc/drive number that contains the image file.
Additional
functions include total pages, report by disk number, and a several
other
useful features. This is available only if
requested. No warranty of usefulness, speed, or ease of use is made for
this command line based program. Only available for complete
